We at Jtandcom Sdn Bhd (JT & CO or we or us) is to respect your privacy, and we also want you to understand how we collect, use and share data about you. This Privacy Policy covers our data collections and describes your rights to access, correct, or restrict our use of your data.

Unless we link this to a different policy or stated otherwise, this Privacy Policy applies when you visit or use the JT & CO websites (jtandcom.com and courses.jtandcom.com)

By using our Services, you agree to our terms of this Privacy Policy stated herein. You should not use our Services if you do not agree with this Privacy Policy here or any other agreement that governs the use of our Services.

1. What Data We Get

We collect data from you directly, like the information you enter, data about your use of our content, and data from third-party platforms you connect with JT & CO. We also collect data automatically, like information about your device and our parts services.

1.1 Data You Provide

We may collect different data from you, and this will depend on how you use our Services. Here are some examples below to help you understand the data that we collect from you.

When you have created a user account with us and use our Services, this includes through our third-party platform, and we collect the personal data that you provide us directly, this including:

Account Data: To use certain features from us, you need to create an account with us. When you create your account, we will collect and store the data you provide to us and your account settings, and we assign you a unique identifying number (your Account Data).

Your Profile Data: You can choose to provide us with profile information like your preferred photo or country. Your Profile Data may be publicly viewable.

Your Shared Content: Some parts of our Services will let you interact with other users or share content publicly. It includes posting your reviews about content, asking or answering questions, sending messages to our students or instructors, or posting your photos or other work that you have upload. 

Educational Content Data: When you access our content, we collect specific data, including the courses, assignments, and quizzes you have started or completed. The content purchases, subscriptions, completion certificates, exchanges with instructors and other students, and other items submitted to complete the course and its related content.

Payment Data: If you make any purchases from us, we collect specific data about your purchase as necessary to process your order. You must provide your particulars to our payment service providers. It includes your name, credit card information, billing address, and ZIP code. We may receive limited information about you, like you have a new credit card number and the last four digits of your card, from payment service providers to facilitate payments. For security, JT & CO does not collect or store sensitive cardholder data, such as credit card numbers and your card authentication data.

The Data About Your Accounts  

We may obtain certain information via your social media services or other online accounts connected to your JT & CO account. If you log in to JT & CO via Facebook, or another third-party platform or service, we ask your permission to access certain information about that other account.

Those services make information available to us via their API keys. The information we have received will depend on what information you or the platform or service decide to provide.

Suppose you access our Services via a third-party platform or service or by clicking on any third-party links. The collection of your data will be subject to the privacy policies and any other agreements of that third-party services.

Our Promotions and Surveys: We may invite you to participate in our survey or participate in a promotion, either through our Services or any related third-party platforms. That personal data collected is subject to this Privacy Policy unless otherwise stated in the official rules of the promotion or another privacy policy. The data collected will use to administer the promotion or survey, including notifying winners and distributing rewards. When we use a third-party platform to help us administer a survey or promotion, the third-party platform privacy policy shall apply.

If you are a JT & CO for a Business enterprise or corporate, we may collect certain business contact information from our third-party commercial sources.

2. How We Get Data About You

We use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies alike to gather the data as listed above. Some of these tools we offer you include the ability to opt out of our data collection.

2.1 The Cookies and Data Collection Tools

We use cookies that are the small text files stored by your current web browser, including JT & CO website. It allows us to remember things about your website visits to JT & CO and make our site easy to use.

JT & CO and our service providers who are acting on our behalf (example, Google Analytics, and any third-party advertisers) to use our server log files and to automate the data collection tools (by example, cookies, tags, scripts, customized links, device or browser fingerprints and web beacons (“Data Collection Tools “). These Data Collection Tools will automatically track and collect certain System Data and Usage Data (as detailed in Section 1) when using our Services. We link the data gathered through those Data Collection Tools to other data we collect as described in this Privacy Policy.

JT & CO uses the following types of Data Collection Tools for the purposes as follows:

Strictly Necessary Tools: These Data Collection Tools are to enable you to access our site, to provide the basic functionality (like logging in or accessing content), secure the area, protect against any fraudulent logins and detect and prevent any unauthorized use of your account. These tools are required for our Services to work correctly. If you disable it, some parts of our site will break or may be unavailable to you.

Functional: These Data Collection tools are to remember the data about the browser you use and your preferences, customize the content, and remember the settings affecting our Services’ appearance and behavior.

The Performance: These Data Collection Tools help measure and improve the Services by providing usage and performance data, visit counts, or traffic sources. These tools can help us test the different versions of JT & CO to understand which features or content our users prefer and determine which email messages are open.

Social Media:  The social media cookies may track any user or device across other sites and build a profile of interests for targeted advertising.

To facilitate the Services’ of technical functioning, including troubleshooting and resolving issues, securing our Services and preventing fraud and abuse;

Solicit feedback from users;

To market products, services, surveys, and any related promotional products;

We learn more about you by linking your data with additional data through third-party data providers with the help of analytics service providers;

Tailoring our advertisements;

Improve our Services, develop new products, services, and features;

Analyze trends, traffic, track purchases, and track usage data;

Identify unique users across devices;

Advertise our Services on third-party websites and applications;

4. Whom We Share Your Data With

We share specific data about you with instructors, other students, companies performing services for us, JT & CO affiliates products, our business partners, data analytics providers, your social media providers, the companies that help us run our promotions and surveys campaigns. And also to advertising companies who will help us to promote our Services. We may share your data for security, legal compliance, or as part of corporate restructuring if any. We may share your data in other ways if it is aggregated or de-identified or get your agreement.

We may share your data with some third parties-providers under the following circumstances described in this Privacy Policy:

With Your Instructors: We will share the data that we have about you (except your email address) with instructors to access information about you to improve their course contents for you and other students. The data may include things like your city, country, browser language, operating system, device settings, the site that brought you to JT & CO, and your activities on JT & CO. 

Other Students and Instructors: This will depend on your preferred settings, your shared content, and profile data may be publicly viewable. It includes other students and instructors. If you ask an instructor or teaching assistant a question, your information may also be publicly viewable.

We may share your data with external third-party companies for payment processing, fraud, data analysis, marketing, advertising services, emails, hosting services, customer services, and support services. These service providers may access your data and are required to use it as we direct them to provide us with our requested services.

With Our Business Partners: We have agreements with other websites and platforms to distribute our Services and drive traffic to JT & CO; depending on your location is, we may share your data with our partners.

With the Analytics and Data Enrichment Services: As part of our use of third-party analytics tools, tools like Google Analytics, and other similar data enrichment services, we share some contact information, the Account Data, System Data, the Usage Data (as detailed in Section 1) or de-identified data as when is needed. De-identified data means the data we have removed, like your name and email address, and replaced them with a token ID. It will allow these providers to match your data with the publicly available database information. 

Social Media: The social media features in our Services may allow the third-party social media providers to collect your IP address and which pages of our Services that you visit and set a cookie to enable the feature. The third-party company’s privacy policy governs your interactions with these features.

Our Promotions and Surveys: We may share your data as necessary to administer, market, or do promotions and surveys. You may choose to participate, as required by applicable law (we provide a winners list or make required filings), or under our promotions or surveys.

For Advertisement: If we decide to use an advertising-supported revenue model in the future, we may use and share your system data and data with our third-party advertisers. We may allow advertisers to collect your system data through Data Collection Tools (as detailed in Section 2). We are using this data to offer you better-targeted ads to personalize your user experience and undertake web analysis services. The Advertisers may also share with us the information they collect about you. Note that if you are opt-out, you will continue to serve some generic advertisements.

The Security and Legal Compliance: 

We may disclose your data to third parties if we have good faith to believe that the disclosure is:

We use proper security systems based on the type and sensitivity of the data we store. With any internet-enabled system, there is a risk of unauthorized access. It is essential to protect your password and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

JT & CO takes the appropriate security measures to protect us against any unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of your data, that we collect and store for you. These measures will be vary based on the type of data. Unfortunately, no system can be 100% secured, so we cannot guarantee that communications between you and JT & CO, the Services, or any information provided to us connected with the data we collect through these Services will be free of any unauthorized access by any third parties. Your password is vital to our security system, and it is also your responsibility to protect it as best as you can. You can not share your password with anyone if you believe your password or account is compromised. You should immediately proceed to change your password or contact our Support Team with any concerns.

6. Your Rights

You have certain rights around using your data, including the ability to opt-out from our promotional emails, cookies, and data collection by our third parties-providers. You can opt to update or terminate your account from within our Services and contact us for your rights and requests about your data. The parents who believe that we’ve unintentionally collected the data about their children should contact us for help to delete their information.

You can choose not to provide some data to us; however, you may not use certain features of our services.

You can opt to stop receiving promotional communications from us, and you can opt-out to unsubscribe the mechanism in the promotional communication you receive or change your account’s email preferences. Please note that we will send you some transactional and relationship messages regarding our Services regardless of your email settings. It includes the order confirmations, important updates about our Services, and notices about our policies.

If you’re in the European Economic Area, you may opt-out of the “Cookie Settings” link, which is display at the bottom of any of our pages.

6.2 Update and Deleting Your Personal Data

You can access and update the data that JT & CO collects and maintains as follows:

Termination of Account:

If you encounter any issues while terminating your account with us, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Please note: even after your account terminates, some or all of your data may still be visible. It includes without any limitation to any data that has been:

  1. Copied or stored by other users (including comments on content);
  2. Shared or published by you or others (including in your shared content);
  3. Posted to a third-party platform.

Even after your account terminates, we retain your data for as long as we have a legitimate purpose of doing so (and under applicable law), including assisting with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing the agreements. We may or may not retain and disclose such data according to this Privacy Policy after your account terminates.

Please note that we retain specific data where we have a lawful basis, including mandatory record-keeping.

6.3 Children Policy

We do encourage all parents or guardians to take an active role in the children’s online activities. The individuals younger than 18 years of age but of the required age for consent to use online services (Based on where you live). Children under age may not set up an account, require a parent or guardian to open an account. And help them access appropriate content. All individuals who are younger than the required age for consent to use online services may not use our Services. If we learn that we have collected your data from a child under those ages, we will take reasonable steps to delete them.

 

7. Specific Country Rule And Regulations

If you are living in California, you have some rights regarding your data. The users outside of the US should note that we transfer data to the US and other areas outside the European Economic Area.

The “Right to Know” You have the right to know more about the information we have collected about you and can always ask us for a copy of your data.

“Right to Deletion” You have the right to request for deletion of your personal information that we collect about yourself.

JT & CO do not sell your data to any users. But, we do use cookies that make non-personally identifiable information available to select third parties.

 

8. Updates and Contact Information

If we have to make any material changes to these policies, we will notify our users via emails. Changes become effective the day they posts. Please not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

As permitted by law, if you continue to use our Services after the effective date of any change, your access and use will be deemed an acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. The latest revised Privacy Policy supersedes all our previous Privacy Policy.

8.1 Interpretations

Any terms and conditions not defined in this policy are defined as specified in JT & CO’s Terms of Use. If there are any conflicts with the non-English version, you agree that the English language version will control.
